Things are getting so hectic and stressful, and just as i'm feeling so taut, almost to the brink of suffocation, i felt inspired by this video, awefully touched at how real friendships can be. i am amazed!

I am really tired. tired tired. sleepy tired. SO much so my 0.5hr evening nap turned out to be 2hrs of coma state, my mummy couldn't even wake me up when she and my maid tried to shake me and call me. I had NO idea at all.... gosh, and thereafter, the whole evening, i have been in a daze, like floating around and spaced out.
Tonight is going to be simple. read two chapters, practice presenting and then off to bed.
I thank God for everything in my life. :) EVERYTHING!

My luck hasn't been too good has it..... it still hasn't happen, after a good 10 hours.
Ok, lyn, you gotta psyche up! Altho without sleep, u still have the desire and adrenaline! u can do it! The only motivation now is the immense joy i'll receive and afternoon's popiah! yum yum.
Today i'm running a tight schedule...I noe i can do it! add oil!
Regarding some other suttfs...hmm....i can only but confidently say: My God answers prayers! All the few things i've prayed for, i consider it done! Amen!~ :)

Yes i'm home! :) and it's only 3pm.
Well..that's because our patho forensic lecture at NUS supposedly in the afternoon was cancelled.
Was at the hospital for a short while today...from 9plus till 130 before mummy came to pick me up for lunch. :) we had prawn mee..yummy! See, da boyfriend is gone, so now i'm back to being the mummy's girl, i always have been. Well..plus she's concerned about me and so is spending more time with me to help me tide through these few days...
Was a short 4hours at the hospital and i did so many things. Went to check on my obs patient, she is well, baby, tho premature, is good at neonate special care. :) After that, me and claire went to the nursery again to play with babies....today i fed this baby girl and learnt how to properly feed and burp her. We then examined them, tried to do the Dubowitz assessment, but baby boy was wailing so loudly, in the end learnt how to wrap him comfortably and cuddle him to bed. :) SWEET. Kind enough, claire and the group let me in their tutorial with this really nice Dr. We went through shoulder dystocia and malpresentations. :)
And, in the short time, i managed to squeeze in time to get two mini-CEX forms done and signed. :) Speculum exam and obst abdo exam. :) SEE!! it's not always the length of stay but quality of things we do when we're in the hospital hur hur!
My write up is done!! so, today is mugging day!! Study hard!! and tonite, meeting KIM for coffeee...this meeting has dragged for too long already and i miss this girl so!
Friday is going to be awesome!! A lil sad that it's our last day at the heavenly KK, and monday on, we're going to go through the TOUGHEST training i presume....gosh. Better enjoy these last few days. Afer class, going to town for my dental...then meeting jo for shopping and ys and wl for dinner and night time movie. :) yayness!!!

Quite a fulfilling day at school today!
first day without hans, it's easy in the day, when you're kept busy in the hospital and frens ra ra all around...just gets a little harder when i get home....
I've come to realise one thing- that tears are contagious and i've made my sister cry enough..i will be stronger from tmr onwards :)
Had lectures all the way and me and wl scored well for our neonate test! yayness! then was tutorial, i examined the maturity using the Dubowitz test, of the preterm baby and tutor said i was pretty ok! Sashi's there, so tmr i will go and disturb him at the nursery and play with more babies! :)
After that was a 2hr long tutorial, had OSCES and then "at risk" fetus tutorial. It was good, i'm more psyched up to read on Obs conditions now!!. heh...w
Lunch was slightly later today, at 330, had chicken rice! I rate it 8/10, very nice, must try! :)
Me and Ys went to jalan the beezar at staff lounge, but there was nothing much. And we ended the school day with Ovarian CA lecture. And i tried to rush home after lecture, only to realise it was pouring....thank God for weili's smart brains, we found our way to the MRT without having to brave the rain. :)
Piano lesson was quite good today also....
I wanna try to do my writeup tonite so i can get busy with other stuffs tmr and on thu :)

Happy Saturday!!! :) :) :)
Was a very tiring but enjoyable friday. :) It was school from morning, after a pretty satisfying breakfast with the happy ppl- wl, ray, steph,yh,ser, ivan- i hopped into the OT :) It was quite good coz i scrubbed in for a C-section and helped a teeny weeny bit. When the amniotic sac was cut open and liquor just flowed out freely, the surgeon quickly went in to pick the baby out- then..u hear a small cry. haha..the first cry of life, cry of celebration, cry of joy. hah! The crying grew louder and stronger tho! initially, mum and dad were beside each other, holding onto each others hand, and when their first boy came into this world, they let go of each other's hands and daddy kissed the child. It was a spinal block as u noe...for a normal C-section so mummy was conscious the whole time. :)
And the OT was so crowded with all frens- met jon, nitta, sauyee and shoba coz they were doing their paeds anesthesa posting there, so we hanged around outside OT to catch up and share before we got busy with our next case.
Another surgery i witnessed was a vaginal hysterectomy and sacral-spinal fixation, thanks to Daryl and his nice tutor. :)
It was a rush after OT which ended later than i had expected and i quickly changed to meet mervyn for lunch. I felt bad making him wait for almost an hour and only could rush through lunch before he had to go back to work- interning at DBS in Shenton way. Thanks for lunch neways mervyyyy. :)
After lunch and some window shopping along Bugis, i went back to the hospital for 2 lectures. One bad and one which was AWESOME. it really isn't exaggerating when i said it is the best OnG lecture i had. It was on Cervical ca, and i really could retain at least 60% of what he said. It really was worth listening to every word he said and sitting through until 6pm. The lecture got me so psyched up to read now! :)
After classes, we chionged down to meet the rest of the gang for our fish foot SPA coz it was FLU's bday! :) It was a mad rush in the traffic and finding ourselves parking.
Happy birthday DAV! :) i hope u enjoyed yourself :) Time flies, it's your 4th bday we've spent together already :)
The whole day was about running here and rushing there. Especially in those heels..my feet almost died, if not for the relaxing FISH spa. hahaha. :)
A little about the spa, was all our first time- beginning 5mins was intolerably ticklish. We were screaming and laffing and grabbing each other to tahan so we won't move our feet and scare the fish away. Nings, me and sabbie were esp noisy initially. I tell u, it really works, their small ticklish bites left our feet white and smooth 30mins later.
Dinner after that at An Siang was expensive, but worth it! coz the steak was very tender and we had free-flow home-made fries with 6 of their special sauces. When dinner ended, it was already almost 11pm.
U would have thought it's a fulfilling enough day and time to go home and rest...but Noooooooo....we just HAD to hang out more coz we rarely have chance like this, so we decided to go for a movie at PS- it was a mid-nite show HELLBOY. great show, tho i was very very tired coz wasn;t feeling too well, i din even fall asleep like how i did the other midnite show- ZOHAN. Hellboy is a nice show! Only bad thing was i was sitting at ROW B and my neck ached after the show.
Saturday will be a happy day. LAte afternoon shopping with hans later and dinner...i must say it's the second last day we're going to spend together before he heads off for a new chapter of his life. :)
Sitting so comfortabily, without having to talk, walk or think and listening to 88.3 in my cosy little room- pu gong ying de yue ding ! is indeed in itself a luxury - a blessing. :)

Happy Birthday Hanqin!! And happy mambo-ing :)
Well, i'm seated at my table at 1145pm this evening, starting to think a little, plan more and hope ALOT. Counting down to 14th July, is it going to be hard, are u gong to cry? Can u adapt? Are questions that have been asked my many...i dun have answers yet. But soon....soon i can safely say- we're more mature than this; more stable than tears and stronger than adaptation.
OnG is stressing me out. Aches everywhere after that wonderful delivery. My first time- given to Chen yu an. :) The pushing and counting and encouraging. Then the tears and joy and the birth of that little one, how he squeezed his way out...turning from blue to pink, crumpled to chubby 3.5kg. so small but cries so loudly. And then he quietens down as he is cleaned and wrapped. He looks around the room, turns his head akwardly at looks at his mum, having an episiotomy repair done. He smiles. So peaceful, so sweet... i'll never forget. The first time.
